The Oregon forest sets the stage. Fir trees tower over the site. The built work is compact, and the rest of the area is undisturbed. The new place touches the surroundings gently. The site is on beautiful Skyline Boulevard – a meandering rural road that is beginning to feel the push of urbanism. Forest, farms, rock retaining walls and fruit orchards define Skyline just as they define the project.
