Stuart Emmons is an architect, urban designer, planner, craftsman, writer, advocate, manager, activist.

 

Stuart attended the School for American Craftsman at Rochester Institute of Technology, the London College of Furniture and Portland State University; and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University.

 

Stuart has run many large projects with multi-disciplinary teams, and is an expert in gaining consensus around good ideas. He has also organized lecture series, exhibitions, and has been asked to speak at many conferences. Stuart's ties to Portland's political, arts, preservation, historical, education and design worlds are an asset for his projects, which are located throughout Portland and neighboring areas.

 

After decades of hands-on planning and design projects, Emmons' priorities now are Schools, Design and Affordable Housing.
